Faq's

We are open every day from 9:30am to 5pm. Tearoom shuts at 4pm. On Christmas Eve the tearoom closes at 2pm and the Farm at 3pm. We are closed from 25th December until 1st January inclusive, and re-open on 2nd January.

Three. Child admission price is between 3 and 15 years.

Everything is included with your admission ticket, except the tractor ride which is a 50p charge for 3 year olds and above.
Yes. There are some age restrictions to our indoor and outdoor play areas. Clear signage is in place indicating appropriate use and age restrictions. The commonly asked question is about the Big Barn Indoor Play Area which is ideally suited to the under 8’s. The Castle indoor play are is for the under 5’s.
No. Children 15 years and under must be accompanied by an individual aged 16 years or over.
No – but we would recommend on a damp/wet day. Please ensure children dress according to the weather conditions. Also make sure adults wrap up warm too!
Yes. At the entrance we sell Washbrooks gift vouchers for any amount. These can be used towards admission, season tickets, the tearoom or the gift shop.
No. Tickets are purchased at entrance.
I’m afraid we do not. We have no agreement or spoken with any websites to authorise offering a discounted price.
No. Admission tickets are for all areas of the farm.
Yes. Everyone is welcome to just visit the tearoom. Please note if you change your mind and would like to enter the farm you can purchase an admission ticket.

Yes. However, we operate a small kitchen. Therefore, there is a risk of cross contamination with regard to allergens. Please speak to our staff before you order food if you would like to know about our ingredients.
Yes. Designated outdoor picnic areas are provided. Only food and drinks bought on the premises may be consumed in the tearoom.

Yes. Animal handling can be organised for groups and parties by prior arrangement. There is a charge and we require a week’s notice.
No. We do not allow customers to feed our animals.
Visitors are to refrain from smoking (and vaping) anywhere on the farm. No smoking signs are in place.
No. Dogs (except guide dogs) are not permitted on the farm.
For wheelchair users, the majority of the farm is accessible with stone paths (with the exception of the far field walk), wide entrances to all buildings and fully equipped disabled toilet.
Disabled visitors pay the full ticket price but are eligible to bring with them one carer who will be eligible for free entry. Evidence of DLA/PIP must be provided to qualify and must be dated in the last 2 years and must be shown to our staff at entrance. If evidence is not brought and not in date the full ticket price will be charged. Carers must be 16 or over.
Yes. Please ask any member of staff to point you in the right direction.
No. However, visitors are welcome to bring their own.
No. Our car park is free. Also, we have a couple of disabled parking bays.
Yes. You will need to exit through the gift shop/main entrance and show your ticket when you come back in.

No. Please remember pack an extra pair – just in case.
We have a small shop selling a range of tractors, soft toys, novelty and pocket money toys. We don’t sell sunhats, sun cream or nappies – please come prepared.
Most visitors spend the day enjoying the fresh air and fun at Washbrooks. We do however offer a reduced rate of a free adult with paying school child after 3.30pm which applies during term time only.
The Big Barn indoor play area offers slides, a ball pit, climbing area and ball cannons. The Castle indoor play area provides for the under 5’s. The Barnyard Peddle Area is covered and is located just outside the indoor play area and has ride on tractors and scooters. The animal barn is covered and allows our visitors to get up close with the animals. If the weather permits we will operate the tractor ride.
This has never happened yet, we don’t envisage it being a problem.
We do not have a cash machine. However, you are able to get cash back if your card allows. There are a number of cash machines located in the nearby village of Hurstpierpoint.
Yes. If you require first aid, please ask any member of staff and they will summon assistance for you.
If you think you have lost something, please call 01273 832201 to see if we have it. If we have your lost item we will need your name and number so we know who will be picking it up. Lost items will be stored for a maximum of 6 weeks, after this time they will be donated to charity or destroyed.
